The most frequently asked question, and the answer to it determines all subsequent purchasing decisions.
In summary: A vape is for those who want high nicotine with a simple device. A hookah is for those who want thick vapor with mild nicotine.
There is no single correct answer because the choice depends on your personal needs.

Coil resistance is measured in ohms (Ω). The higher the resistance, the slower the heating and the less vapor produced, but the flavor and nicotine are concentrated.
Common examples:
Because vape coils are designed for highly concentrated salt flavors. Slow heating delivers a concentrated flavor and a quick nicotine hit with less vapor, which is exactly what the vape user needs.

The exact opposite of a draw. The lower the resistance, the faster the heating and the more steam produced.
Common examples:
Do not use a hookah coil in a vape device, and vice versa. Each coil is designed for a specific wattage range and type of e-liquid.
There is no single answer because the appropriate wattage depends on three factors:
Each coil has its recommended wattage range printed on it (e.g., 20-40W). Always start at the minimum and gradually increase.
High VG flavors (70%+) require higher wattage for proper vaporization. High PG flavors operate at lower wattage.
Practical advice: Start with the lowest wattage listed on the coil, take a test drag, and gradually increase the wattage until you reach the experience you want.
It is technically possible, but not recommended for three reasons:
Freebase flavors contain 3mg-6mg of nicotine. The vaping device is designed for salt flavors (25mg-50mg). You will feel unsatisfied even after dozens of vapes.
Freebase vape flavors are less intense than salt vape flavors. High-resistance coils don't handle them properly in the draw, leading to leakage.
Drag coils are specifically designed to absorb and vaporize salt flavors. Using a different flavor affects coil performance and lifespan.
The correct solution: Always use salt flavors with the draw, and vape shisha flavors with electronic shisha devices.
1. A burnt taste is the most obvious sign. If you notice a burnt taste or unpleasant smoke, the coil is finished and must be replaced immediately. Continuing beyond this point will damage the pod.
2. Noticeable leakage in flavor. A slight leakage is normal sometimes, but if the leakage becomes continuous and annoying, the coil or pod needs to be replaced.
3. A change in the color of the liquid inside the pod. The clear or colored liquid becomes very dark or brown, meaning the coil has burned out and is coloring the flavor.
4. A noticeable decrease in vapor or flavor: If the flavor is no longer clear and the amount of vapor has decreased significantly, the coil has reached the end of its life.
The difference between a coil and a pod: In modern pod systems, the pod and coil are a single, integrated unit that can be replaced together. In classic hookah systems, the coil is a separate part that can be changed without changing the tank.
This rate varies according to several factors:
Flavor leakage is a common problem, and often has a specific cause and a clear solution.
Filling the pod to the brim prevents the internal pressure from functioning properly, leading to leakage from the openings.
Solution: Fill the pod to only 80% of its capacity and leave air space at the top.
The expired coil does not absorb the liquid properly, so it accumulates and leaks.
Solution: Change the coil immediately if you notice a burning taste or any continuous leakage.
Freebase flavors in a vape device, or vice versa, cause leakage because the liquid density is not compatible with the coil design.
Solution: Always make sure to use salt flavors with the swipe.
Gravity causes the liquid to leak from the vents when the device is stored incorrectly.
Solution: Always store the device in a vertical (upright) position.
An old or fallen pod may develop small, invisible cracks that cause leakage.
Solution: Replace the pod. For a detailed guide, see our article on the causes and solutions for flavor leakage .
